CONTEST – What feeds your perseverance?

Reading and writing are at the heart of academic success. That is why the Hooked on School Days’ campaign invites Laval’s youth to use these important skills to answer the following question : What feeds your perseverance?

6 class activities to be won!
– 3 activities for kindergarten and grades 1 to 6 of primary school
– 3 activities for grades 1-5 of high school

Ask each student to answer the question What feeds your perseverance? by choosing from one of the following options:

To inspire your students, here are a few reading suggestions provided by Laval’s municipal libraries. These recommendations explore perseverance related themes and showcase different writing and illustrating styles. Most of the recommendations are in French, but some may also be found in English.

If you would like to reserve, take out books, or get  additional reading recommendations, contact your local library! 

Contest details

  • This contest is open to all kindergarten, elementary and secondary classes in Laval, including special education classes.
  • For a class to be eligible for the contest, the teacher must select the projects of two students and submit them to the RLPRE by email at emitogo@cslaval.qc.ca. The submitted projects may be the most relevant or those belonging to the most persevering students .
    The entry form must be included with the submission. 

  • Deadline to participate : Friday February 25, 2022

  • A draw on March 7th, 2022 will determine the winning classes.
  • Awarding of prizes: The activity will take place before June 1, 2022 and will be chosen from a proposed list, according to the interests and availability of the winning class.
